Job Description

Sales Executive - Exhibition
Designation/Role: Sales Executive - Exhibition
Department: Sales
Reporting To: Sales Manager-Exhibitions
Position Purpose:
To assist the Sales Manager of Exhibitions in generating profitable international, regional and local exhibition sales for the Centre, through the effective use of the Sales process and via activities. In addition to providing administrative support to the Sales Exhibition and obtaining set targets.
Position Requirements
Education
Business Degree international business or hospitality.
Experience & Skills

• Minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role.

• Sound oral and written communication skills in both Arabic and English language.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft computer packages

• Accurate and effective work practices.

• Knowledge of data base management.

• Understanding and delivery of telemarketing activities.

• Ability to prepare and present reports.

• Sound understanding and ability to use the internet.

• Coordinate for the Sales Exhibition team

• Maintain and update EBMS following OCEC sales visits, trade shows and meetings and when required

• Coordinate OCEC attendance at local, regional and international meetings, tradeshows and conferences

• Coordinate and undertake local exhibition and live events research projects as directed to identify X files

• Process and activate exhibition enquiries

• Assist with client quotations, general proposals and assist in Hiring Agreement documents

• Develop close relationships with organizers and potential clients of the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre locally, regionally and internationally.

• Assist with and maintain documentation, promotional material and collateral for the Sales Exhibition team

• Assist the manager exhibitions with production and collation of data for monthly report, including market intelligence and any other tasks as and when required
Specific Responsibilities Standards

• Promote customer relations by displaying a positive attitude, identifying needs and meeting client expectations.

• Promotion of Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre services and facilities to clients.

• Develop effective relationships with other department team members and Centre staff through appropriate communication and a positive attitude.

• Ensure personal presentation, punctuality and reliability, which reflect the corporate image of the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre.

• Identify and resolve challenging situations as they arise both internally and externally.

• Comply with all Government legislation and

• Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre policies and procedures.

• Participate in training as directed by the Director of Business Development.

• Other duties as directed by the Manager Exhibitions and Live Events
