We are seeking a highly qualified Omani National HSE Manager to oversee health, safety, and environmental (HSE) aspects of a major maritime project in Oman. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE policies to ensure compliance with local regulations and international safety standards. This role requires a proactive leader with extensive experience in construction, marine, or offshore projects to foster a strong safety culture and mitigate risks effectively.

Your new role, what's involved?

• Develop, implement, and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and management systems in line with Omani regulations and international standards.
• Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety audits for maritime construction activities.
• Ensure compliance with local and international maritime safety laws and environmental regulations.
• Monitor and improve safety performance through regular site inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
• Provide HSE training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
• Ensure effective emergency response planning and drills for marine and construction-related activities.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, clients, and stakeholders to address HSE compliance matters.
• Promote a safety-first culture by engaging with all levels of the workforce and fostering proactive safety leadership.
• Prepare and submit HSE reports, documentation, and compliance records as required.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 8-10 years of HSE experience, preferably in maritime, construction, or offshore projects.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and local HSE regulations.
• Certified in NEBOSH IGC/ Diploma, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent safety certifications.
• Experience in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Ability to develop and deliver HSE training programs.
• Proficiency in HSE reporting and documentation.
