Job Overview

Prysmian Group is seeking a highly skilled QA/QC Technician to join our team. As a key member of our quality control department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our manufacturing processes.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to take on a leadership role in our laboratory operations. You will work closely with our production, marketing, logistics, procurement, and finance teams to ensure seamless collaboration and efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Products: Conduct thorough inspections and testing of products to determine chemical and physical properties related to the spectrometer machine.
  • Maintain Samples: Maintain samples from each batch along with their classification for accurate record-keeping.
  • Material Verification: Verify materials against standard specifications and follow IMS format to ensure compliance.
  • Equipment Handling: Handle sample preparation machines and transportation equipment with care and precision.
  • Test Information Analysis: Compile and analyze test data to identify process or equipment operating efficiency and diagnose issues.
  • Team Collaboration: Assist the QA Engineer/QA/QC Assistance Manager as required and perform additional testing on non-routine samples.
  • Shift Work: Work on a shift basis, including overtime as required, to meet business needs.
  • Operational Data Recording: Ensure that operational data is regularly and accurately recorded for reliable information on performance and material stocks.
  • Safety and Quality Procedures: Follow safety and quality system procedures and maintain workplace housekeeping as per OAPIL IMS and OAPIL HSE Standards.
  • Assignment Completion: Complete assignments from direct reports and monitor laboratories under the Quality Control department.
  • Raw Material Compliance: Ensure raw materials meet OAPIL specifications and generate NCR in case of non-conformance, sending it to vendors.
  • Third-Party Inspections: Assist and coordinate all third-party inspections of finished goods with the Sales and Marketing department.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all lab equipment functions properly and is serviced and calibrated according to relevant standards; coordinate with vendors for calibration and certification.
  • Training and Development: Arrange proper training and weekly toolbox meetings for QC supervisors and inspectors.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot minor equipment failures and inconsistent analytical results in coordination with QC engineers and technicians.
  • Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with all testing standards.
