Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development, design, and construction management of projects within the Convention District.

The role requires close coordination with operators, consultants, and the Sales & Marketing team to ensure project goals are met efficiently and in alignment with our strategic vision.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Project Manager in planning and overseeing the execution of construction activities for assigned projects.
  • Support the development of cost estimates and contribute to the preparation of project budgets.
  • Monitor financial performance against approved budget to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Implement departmental policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.

Project Management Skills:

  • Coordinate effectively with team members and cross-functional departments to support seamless project execution.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to trainees or junior engineers involved in project activities.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams including Design, Sales & Marketing, and Operations to ensure projects are managed efficiently and collaboratively.

Operational Excellence:

  • Ensure effective coordination and relationship management with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare job start-up and close-out checklists for various construction packages to ensure organized and efficient project execution.
  • Track project-related documentation, including drawings, contract documents, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and material delivery logs.
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly project status reports and assist in the development of project cost analyses.
