Job Title: Executive Pastry Chef

We are seeking a passionate and experienced pastry professional to lead our bakery team and oversee all aspects of baking operations. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of baking techniques, recipe development, team leadership, and maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.

This role is hands-on and requires creativity, efficiency, and a keen eye for detail. As an executive pastry chef, you will be responsible for ensuring that all bakery products meet the highest standards of taste, texture, and presentation.

Bakery Operations:

  • Oversee all aspects of baking operations, including recipe development, ingredient sourcing, and production planning.
  • Develop and implement efficient kitchen operations, ensuring proper food quality, storage, sanitation, and minimal wastage.
  • Maintain effective communication across all levels, including front-of-house staff, suppliers, and other department heads.
  • Approve staff schedules for optimal coverage, ensure employee uniforms and grooming are maintained, and conduct daily briefings.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training in coordination with HR.
  • Provide performance appraisals and ensure inter-departmental cooperation.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting open communication and teamwork among staff members.

Quality Control and Safety:

  • Monitor employee uniforms, grooming, and conduct daily briefings.
  • Ensure safe equipment use, regular stock checks, and adherence to hygiene and sanitation procedures as directed by the Hygiene Manager.
