The role of an Assistant Sales Manager is a critical one, requiring strong leadership and interpersonal skills to drive business growth and revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the sales cycle from initial contact to post-closing, ensuring all customer requirements are understood and responded to in a timely manner.
  2. Contribute to the development and implementation of a comprehensive Sales Plan, aligning with company objectives and market trends.
  3. Deliver agreed-upon revenue and share targets on a regular basis, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  4. Provide weekly and monthly reports, data, research, and market intelligence to stakeholders, highlighting business performance and opportunities for growth.
  5. Analyze sales and revenue reports, identifying areas for improvement and recommending changes to existing plans and budgets.
  6. Collaborate with internal departments and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination with clients and contractors.
  7. Proactively engage with the Operations Team to ensure smooth execution of contractual requirements and client needs.
  8. Monitor competitor initiatives and develop strategies to maintain deugro's market position.
  9. Foster teamwork and shared goals, demonstrating commitment to company values.
  10. Represent deugro internally and externally, maintaining a positive image and reputation.
  11. Oversee receivables and implement measures to meet set targets, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of major freight forwarding disciplines, including air, sea, and surface transport.
  • Understanding of company strategy and products.
  • Ability to close business deals and negotiate effectively.
  • Achieve annual targets, which will cover minimum 3 times of cost to the company.
