We are seeking an experienced and skilled administrative professional to provide support to our team of lawyers.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in legal documents and terminology, as well as experience with administrative systems and software.

  • Minimum 3 years of secretarial experience with a professional services company
  • Familiarity with MS Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Experience with legal technology, such as document management systems and transcription software
  • Superior written and oral communication skills in English
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment with colleagues
  • Outstanding time-management and accurate typing skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with senior executives
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to one or more lawyers, including transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics
  • Assist associates with processing, amending, and proofreading legal documents and courtroom procedures
  • Maintain lawyer's calendars by planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, meetings, and making travel arrangements
  • File, organize, scan, copy, and fax legal documents promptly
  • Screen, direct, and prioritize incoming calls and emails to lawyers
Requirements:
  • Full-time employment
  • Administrative role within the law practice industry
  • Skillset includes proficiency in Microsoft office, knowledge of legal terminology and document management systems
