Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and documents related to our business activities.
  • Assist senior legal managers in conducting legal research and drafting legal opinions on various matters.
  • Identify and assess potential legal risks and implications of contracts and bring them to management's attention.
  • Provide expert legal advice on contractual, commercial, and legislative matters to business units and management.
  • Support in-depth legal analysis of company projects and business initiatives to identify potential risks and recommend compliance and mitigation solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in law, with additional qualifications such as an LLM being advantageous.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of progressive experience in a legal role, preferably within an e-commerce or technology-driven industry or an international law firm.
  • In-depth knowledge of Omani laws and regulations for at least 2 years.
  • Excellent project and time management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with the capacity to assess legal risks, analyze regulatory requirements, and develop practical solutions to mitigate compliance risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and results-oriented mindset, committed to delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines and evolving regulatory environments.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
