Purpose and Summary:

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that we process personal data in accordance with the relevant data protection rules, and perform compliance and quality assurance reviews according to approved plans.

Key Deliverables:

  • We are looking for a skilled professional to assist in conducting the privacy impact assessment process, collaborating closely with business stakeholders.
  • The successful candidate will implement and maintain an internal reporting mechanism for intended (new or changed) personal data processing activities, which business unit/process owners must adhere to.
  • This role requires a trusted advisor who can provide guidance and recommendations on the interpretation or application of data protection rules.
  • Reviewing our internal policies, processes, and procedures is crucial to ensure that the business and departments comply with the required rules and standards.
  • A key aspect of this role is educating and training staff members on compliance matters through training sessions and circulating awareness memos.
  • We need someone who can conduct compliance/AML Quality assurance reviews to ensure that divisions, units, and branches adhere to applicable laws and regulations related to their areas of business/operations.
  • Assisting the head of department with other tasks as needed is also an essential part of this role.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in business/information security or a relevant field is preferred.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Analytical and reasoning skills are essential for this role.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written) are necessary for success.
  • Prioritization, planning, and time management skills are critical in this position.
  • Objective and fact-based decision-making is required.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic language is highly valued.

Experience:

  • 0-3 years of experience in similar roles is desirable.

Business Understanding:

  • A fair understanding of banking operations is expected.
  • A fair understanding of Central Bank regulations and internal policies and procedures is also required.
