Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate housekeeping activities, ensuring high-quality standards are met in cleanliness, presentation, and attention to detail.
  • Build a strong team by promoting teamwork, delegating tasks effectively, and communicating the hotel's vision and brand personality.

Fundraising and Resource Management:

  • Create an annual operational plan for the department.
  • Maintain control over resources while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Communication Strategies:

  • Cultivate effective communication across all organizational levels using suitable methods.
  • Conduct regular, concise departmental meetings with clear follow-up actions.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Stay adaptable to changes in job requirements and hotel strategies.
  • Promote efficient administrative systems and ongoing professional development through self-learning and training programs.

Required Expertise:

  • Ensure hotel spaces, including public areas, villas, guest rooms, and back-of-house areas, maintain impeccable cleanliness and upkeep.
  • Assign tasks, implement multitasking, and monitor staff performance.
  • Respond to guest inquiries professionally and report any issues or complaints.
  • Collaborate with Engineering for preventive maintenance.
  • Effectively manage inventory of supplies, chemicals, and amenities.
  • Maintain linen and uniforms properly.
  • Ensure staff adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • Plan and execute regular cleaning programs.
  • Implement energy-saving measures.
  • Coordinate cleaning priorities and conduct room checks.
  • Establish strict key control systems.
  • Support departmental training and take on secondary duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Housekeeping Manager or similar in a luxury hotel setting.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and quality control.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
