The Assistant Director of Human Resources will drive the implementation of our company's vision and values, prioritizing local sensitivity, global sensibility, crafted experiences, emotional hospitality, responsibility, fun, quirkiness, and pioneering wellness.
Our sustainability, wellness, and out-of-the-ordinary experiences are at the core of everything we do. The successful candidate will safeguard these pillars through strategic planning and development, ensuring effective implementation, adoption, and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
The Assistant Director of Human Resources will oversee the efficient operation of the Human Resources department, providing exceptional products and services within brand standards. Key duties include:
- Develop Strategic HR Plans: Develop and implement the resort's human resources plan, including manpower planning, benefits, payroll budgeting, training, induction, and host engagement initiatives.
- Recruit and Retain Top Talent: Manage recruitment, succession planning, career development, host satisfaction surveys, corrective actions, host meetings, awards, host turnover trends, job descriptions, and confidential host files.
- Conduct Salary and Benefits Surveys: Conduct periodic salary and benefits surveys, making recommendations to stay competitive and compliant with local statutes.
- Manage Host Accommodations: Manage host accommodation, facilities, restaurant, and the host committee, organizing career fairs, and other host activities.
- Champion Sustainability: Champion social and environmental activities in coordination with the Sustainability Manager and partner organizations for social responsibility initiatives.
- Talent Management and Assessment: Focus on talent management and assessing HR practices for relevance and effectiveness.
- Meet Financial Targets: Ensure financial targets related to revenue, profitability, and ROIC are met.
Requirements:
To succeed as Assistant Director of Human Resources, candidates should have:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field, plus 4 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Over five years of experience in a similar luxury resort HR role is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and HR/payroll systems.
- Experience leading multicultural teams within a luxury resort environment.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- The ability to live in remote locations for extended periods and travel on single status.
