Hotel Maintenance Manager

The role of a Hotel Maintenance Manager is crucial to ensuring the smooth operation of a hotel. Directing daily engineering needs, planning and assigning work ensures that the right team is in place at all times.
Developing your team and improving their performance through coaching and feedback creates a positive working environment. Performance and development goals for colleagues should be created, with good performance recognized.
Maintaining relations with outside contacts, including guests, regulatory agencies and others as needed, is essential. This may involve recommending or initiating HR-related actions where necessary.
A safe and secure environment for guests and team members must be ensured in compliance with regulatory policies and procedures. This includes maintaining control of expenses and minimizing waste within all areas of maintenance.
Guest ExperienceEnsuring guest satisfaction is paramount. A maintenance program should be implemented to ensure the hotel is maintained and in service for our guests.
Responsible BusinessParts and supplies should be maintained and ordered while minimizing waste and implementing 'green' initiatives. Hotel security may also be responsible for minimizing the risk of theft, crime and other hazards.
AccountabilitiesThis role may include responsibility for one or more food or beverage outlets, meeting space or catering/convention facilities. Supervising a small maintenance staff may also be involved.
