Accountant Job Description

Overview:

An Accountant is responsible for preparing and maintaining accurate financial statements and reports. They conduct detailed analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of financial data.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Perform month-end closing procedures.
  • Collaborate with external auditors.
  • Develop and implement effective internal controls.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Monitor cash flow and liquidity.

Requirements:

Must have a commerce graduate degree or similar. Preferably CA Intermediate. Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel required. Minimum 2 years of experience in specified roles. Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail essential. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Proficiency in English reading, writing, and listening. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines. High level of integrity and ethics in handling confidential financial information mandatory.
