Director of Finance Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned finance leader to spearhead our financial operations. This pivotal role demands strategic thinking, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive business growth while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will oversee all financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and internal controls. As a key member of the executive team, they will provide insightful financial analysis and support strategic decision-making across departments.

  • Financial Leadership:
  • Lead the finance team, ensuring accurate financial reporting and adherence to international accounting standards.
  • Strategic Planning:
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop long-term financial strategies that align with organizational objectives.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Oversee the preparation and management of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
  • Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies. Oversee audits and tax reporting.
  • Operational Efficiency:
  • Drive cost control initiatives and support department heads in optimizing financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Team Development:
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance team with a focus on continuous improvement and career development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree or MBA preferred)
  • Minimum 8-10 years of progressive financial experience in hospitality, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards
  • Proficiency in financial systems and hotel ERP software
  • Exceptional analytical, leadership, and communication skills
  • Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus)
