Senior Software Developer Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team at Canonical.

  • Evaluate software applications to ensure they meet high standards of usability and performance.
  • Design and develop new features, as well as refactor existing code to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Write high-quality code using modern development methodologies and tools.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to the engineering process through code review and architecture guidance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes.
  • Debug and troubleshoot complex issues to resolve user problems efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Cross-platform development experience on macOS and/or Windows.
  • Expertise in modern C++ development, including design patterns and principles.
  • Experience with software testing, test-driven development, and continuous integration.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
  • Familiarity with hypervisor technologies such as Hyper-V, VirtualBox, KVM, and QEMU.
  • Open-source experience and involvement in community-driven projects.
  • Excellent communication skills in English - both verbal and written.
