Job Title

Assistant Director of Human Resources is a key role within the organization responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the Human Resources department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and implementing the resorts' human resources plan, including manpower planning, benefits and budget management, training and induction plans, and host engagement initiatives.

  • Responsibilities include overseeing recruitment, succession planning, and career development plans, conducting host satisfaction surveys, and formulating corrective action.
  • Conduct periodic salary and benefits surveys to remain competitive and in line with local prevailing statutes.
  • Manage host accommodation and facilities, including the host restaurant and host committee, as well as coordinate social and environmental activities with the Sustainability Manager.
  • Focus on talent management for the hotel and the Intercontinental Hotels Group, continually assessing training and human resources practices to remain relevant and effective.
  • Establish and deliver pre-established financial returns related to revenue generation, profitability, and ROIC.
  • Operate the property consistent with all legal, statutory, and financial requirements, reporting systems, contractual obligations, security and safety protocols, communications, product and service standards, and host management practices.

To execute this position, the required qualifications, technical skills, and experience include:

  1. Possess a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Management, plus 4 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. More than five years' experience in a similar human resources role within luxury resorts is preferred.
  3. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Computer programs; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc., and Human Resources/payroll systems.
  4. Must have managed multi-cultural teams within a luxury resort.
  5. Must have an excellent command of written and spoken English.
  6. Able to live in a remote location for extended periods of time and travel on single status.
