Product Specialist - Domestic Card Scheme

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Specialist to lead the development and implementation of our Domestic Card Scheme product strategy.

  • This role involves developing and executing market research and needs assessment to drive product innovation, collaborating closely with banks, payment service providers, merchants, technology vendors, and regulatory bodies.
  • You will be responsible for managing the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring compliance with EMV standards, PCI DSS, and relevant regulations.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Develop and implement the DCS product strategy and roadmap, aligning with business objectives and industry trends.
  2. Lead market research and needs assessment for product innovation, collaborating closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities and challenges.
  3. Manage the full product lifecycle, including ideation, development, launch, and ongoing improvements, ensuring products comply with industry standards and regulations.
  4. Define pricing models, incentives, and promotional strategies to drive adoption and revenue growth.
  5. Deliver clear, accurate, and timely reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations to inform business decisions.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in product management and secure development lifecycle.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of card payment ecosystems, including issuance, acquiring, tokenization, and EMV standards.
  • Strategic thinking, excellent problem-solving capabilities, outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong project management and financial analysis abilities, including experience with EMV, mobile payments, NFC, and payment gateways.

Tech Competencies:

  • Payment systems operations, including switching, clearing, settlement, and fraud risk management.
  • Business continuity planning and project management, including certification in PMP or equivalent.
  • Digital transformation and systems testing, including functional and non-functional testing.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, or E-Business Management, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in card schemes, banks, or payment service providers managing card products.
