Accounting Assistant

The Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our team. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy in financial data.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements by reconciling accounts and ensuring accuracy in financial data.
  • Support the accounts payable and receivable processes by processing invoices and tracking payments, ensuring timely collections.
  • Prepare and process payroll transactions, ensuring accuracy in employee compensation and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Assist in the annual audit process by preparing necessary documentation and liaising with external auditors for smooth audits.
  • Utilize accounting software to record and analyze financial transactions, generating reports that provide insights to management.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency in financial operations.
  • Monitor cash flow and assist in daily banking activities, providing insights on liquidity and funding needs.


Requirements:
We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Certification such as CPA or ACCA is preferred. A minimum of 0-1 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles is required. The ideal candidate should have proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks, SAP, or similar systems. Attention to detail and accuracy are crucial for minimizing errors in financial records and reports. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is also essential.
