Purchasing Manager

The role of a Purchasing Manager is crucial in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of quality goods and services.

As a key member of the hotel's operations team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices to meet operational needs.

  1. Develop and implement effective procurement strategies that align with the hotel's business objectives.
  2. Source, negotiate, and manage vendor contracts for goods and services required by various departments.
  3. Ensure cost control, quality assurance, and timely delivery of materials and supplies.
  4. Work closely with department heads (F&B, Housekeeping, Engineering, etc.) to forecast needs and track inventory levels.
  5. Monitor supplier performance and build long-term relationships with reliable vendors.
  6. Oversee and maintain purchasing records, purchase orders, contracts, and delivery schedules.
  7. Identify opportunities for cost savings through strategic sourcing, bulk purchasing, or vendor consolidation.

Key qualifications include a strong background in procurement or purchasing management, preferably in the hospitality or service industry. You should have excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
