Job OverviewThe Senior Loan Review Officer is responsible for meticulously assessing and analyzing loan portfolios to ensure adherence to legal, financial, and operational standards.This position requires a high level of expertise in credit risk management, loan review, and lending practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IFRS 9 ECL computation and model methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and validates ongoing compliance with loan covenants and post-disbursement conditions to ensure alignment with internal policies and regulatory expectations.
  • Conducts proactive monitoring of the credit portfolio, including review of past dues and early identification of credit deterioration to mitigate potential risks.
  • Performs comprehensive, independent assessments of assigned loan portfolios, encompassing a broad range of loan types and exposure levels.
  • Evaluates loan documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with applicable regulatory and institutional standards.
  • Analyses ECL/provision movements and recommends strategic actions to effectively manage credit risk provisions.
  • Proposes enhancements and refinements to loan products to ensure continued compliance with evolving regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Prepares and maintains detailed, accurate, and timely loan review reports to support risk management and audit readiness.
  • Communicates key findings, insights, and recommendations with internal stakeholders and external parties to support informed decision-making.
Requirements

For this role, we require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related major.
  • Professional certification in Credit Risk Management or Loan Review is desirable.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in loan review at a bank.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ethical and financial practices related to lender documentation.
  • Validated understanding of local central bank regulations concerning lending.
  • Strong knowledge of lending standards, procedures, and controls.
