Pastry Kitchen Leader

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pastry Chef to lead our pastry kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality bakery and dessert items while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

About the Role
  • Lead a designated section within the pastry kitchen, ensuring timely and high-quality output.
  • Prepare and present baked goods, desserts, and plated sweets according to hotel standards.
  • Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation across all pastry products.
  • Foster creativity and innovation in menu development while following standard recipes and methods.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory checks to ensure proper rotation of pastry ingredients.
  • Train and guide junior staff within the pastry section to maintain operational efficiency and skill development.
  • Communicate effectively with the team to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Pastry Chef to develop new dessert items for menus.
  • Report equipment issues and coordinate with engineering or stewarding as required.
  • Embody sustainable practices by minimizing food waste and promoting energy-efficient kitchen habits.
  • Show flexibility with shift schedules, including working overtime or during events when necessary.
Key Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a similar role.
  • Degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
