Investment Associate - Economic Diversification Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Investment Associate to join our team and contribute to the deal sourcing of investments in companies operating in Industrials, aligned with market needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead business development, capital projects, and strategic partnerships to optimize revenues.
  2. Evaluate deal opportunities for suitability against strategy and objectives, prioritizing them based on attractiveness and fit.
  3. Build and update financial models, including return and sensitivity analysis, to predict investment performance.
  4. Maintain business development data integrity to safeguard competitiveness.
  5. Negotiate transaction process stages, ensuring interests are protected and optimized.
  6. Review and support deal documentation negotiation, ensuring negotiated terms are adequately documented.
  7. Originate transactions for allocated sector, ensuring execution aligns with Corporate Governance and investment policy guidelines.
  8. Review due diligence studies and guide advisors on areas for further work.
  9. Coordinate and monitor transactional activities to minimize risks.
  10. Maintain alignment of sectors with country diversification objectives and targets.
  11. Build relationships with key stakeholders to stay informed about trends and develop de-risked projects.
  12. Support portfolio companies in divestment and fund raising, recommending disposal plans as required.
  13. Oversight and tracking of project progress, ensuring adherence to predefined milestones.
  14. Establish a centralized tracking system to monitor project status.
  15. Engage with team members to identify and address bottlenecks or challenges.
  16. Provide direct support and guidance to team members.
  17. Ensure project activities align with strategic timelines and objectives.
  18. Organize regular progress reviews and update meetings.
  19. Collaborate with other departments or external advisors to resolve project-related challenges.
  20. Prioritize tasks and resource allocation to ensure projects remain on track.
  21. Implement best practices in project management to streamline processes.
  22. Provide strategic guidance to companies operating in Industrials sectors.
  23. Guide directors at portfolio companies to support and enable them to reach set targets.
  24. Support Investment Managers in maximizing returns on executed deals.
  25. Monitor rights as a shareholder through timely exercise of Shareholder Reserve Matters.
  26. Implement project management of transactional activities to ensure execution within budget and agreed timelines.
  27. Liaise seamlessly with MIS team to ensure active monitoring and value creation throughout holding period.
  28. Comply with implementation of policies and procedures.
  29. Comply with health, safety, and quality requirements to guarantee employee safety and legislative compliance.
  30. Contribute to identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices.
