Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Consultant to join our Indirect Tax practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Value Added Tax (VAT) in the GCC region and possess excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and project management skills.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare proposals for clients, including writing and coordinating with colleagues.
  • Coordinate with other offices in multi-jurisdictional engagements and review inputs from such offices.
  • Ensure risk processes are adhered to at all times and consult internally and with the risk team for deviations from standard engagement and client processes.
  • Build and sustain relationships with client management teams for the benefit of the firm and act as an ambassador and role model.
  • Act as a role model with colleagues and clients by living the values of the Firm.
  • Manage multiple priorities for various stakeholders both internal and external.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years of experience in Indirect Tax, specifically VAT in the GCC region.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields with a strong academic background.
  • Strong knowledge of tax accounting, business development, client relationship, and client management.
  • Basic knowledge of Excise and Customs duty is an added advantage.
  • Excellent report writing skills, including ability to write simple tax reports and opinions.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining lasting internal and external relationships.
  • Highly motivated, achievement-oriented, committed, self-starter, and ability to prioritize work while working independently and with a team.

Additional Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Fluent English – Verbal & written, Arabic and other language skills are an added advantage.
