Accounting and Revenue Assurance Specialist

Job Responsibilities:
  • Daily Revenue Accounting
    • Accurately account for all hotel income, ensuring timely completion and posting of monthly revenue.
    • Prepare and distribute daily revenue reports to management for review and approval.
  • Revenue Verification and Review
    • Verify, monitor, and review all hotel revenue reports and night audit reports for accuracy and compliance.
    • Ensure daily revenues and settlements are balanced in PMS, POS, and other systems to prevent discrepancies.
  • Retail Auditing and Compliance
    • Verify interface postings and reconcile revenue centers reported in the income journal daily.
    • Ensure all rooms, F&B, and Spa statistics are accurately reported and reflected in financial records.
  • Cash Handling and Reconciliation
    • Maintain correct SUN account mapping in Datavision to ensure accurate cash handling and reconciliation.
    • Review rate discrepancies and verify reasons for rooms sold below 50% of BAR to prevent losses.
  • Bonus and Rebate Management
    • Authorize and approve rebates, allowances, and discounts per hotel policies to maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Review paid-out transactions for completeness and authorization to prevent errors.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and review telephone reports and gift card transactions for accuracy and compliance.
    • Conduct monthly inventory and reconciliation of various accounts and reports to ensure financial stability.
  • Cash Counting and Security
    • Perform surprise cash counts and monitor accountable forms issuance to prevent theft and mismanagement.
    • Review audit logs and report discrepancies to maintain a secure and reliable financial environment.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Requirements
    • Ensure compliance with control self-assessment questionnaires to maintain regulatory standards and requirements.
