Job Description
  • Prepare a wide range of baked goods, including pastries, bread, cakes, cookies, and other sweet treats according to established recipes and guidelines.
  • Support senior chefs with mise-en-place and daily production tasks, ensuring seamless kitchen operations.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pastry and bakery workstation, adhering to high standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients and finished products, minimizing waste and maintaining quality control.
  • Operate bakery equipment safely and effectively under supervision, taking necessary precautions to prevent accidents.
  • Participate in the setup and breakdown of the pastry section for service, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Learn and apply pastry techniques, processes, and presentation styles as instructed by senior chefs, continuously improving your skills and knowledge.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary diploma or certification in Baking & Pastry from a recognized institution preferred.
  • Previous experience or internship in a pastry/bakery environment an advantage; basic understanding of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment essential.
  • Good communication skills and a strong sense of teamwork, ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment, flexible with working hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
