Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bakery Pastry Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods for all dining outlets within the hotel.

You will work closely with the Pastry Chef to develop new recipes and menus, and assist in the training of junior pastry team members.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or Commis Chef in a bakery environment, preferably in a high-end hotel or restaurant setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods
  • Follow and execute recipes and instructions from the Pastry Chef
  • Produce a variety of baked goods, including artisan breads, muffins, Danish, croissants, and doughnuts
  • Help maintain the pastry section, ensuring it is organized, stocked, and fully equipped at all times
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering ingredients and supplies when necessary
  • Assist with the preparation and creation of seasonal menu items, special events, and promotions
