Job Title: IT Examiner

Job Description:

The role of the Senior IT Examiner involves conducting regular and special IT examinations of financial institutions. This may involve working as an assistant in an IT examination team, performing tasks assigned by the IT Examiner-in-charge, or leading an IT examination team as the IT Examiner-in-charge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To carry out functions assigned by the IT Examiner-in-charge, following guidelines provided in the on-site examination checklist and manual.
  • Preparing reports on findings and observations from examinations, furnishing these reports and work sheets to the IT Examiner-in-charge on target dates.
  • Participating in exit meetings with senior management of examinees to discuss points of contest.
  • Incorporating changes into work done, or assisting the IT Examiner-in-charge in doing so, as recommended by the Head of IT Section.
  • Conducting IT examinations of financial institutions, completing fieldwork within given time frames. During examinations, providing necessary directions to IT examiners assigned to teams for a complete and comprehensive examination.
  • Providing overall supervision and guidance to other examiners in the IT Examination Team, briefing them on necessary instructions and directions for collection and reporting of issues entrusted to each of them.
  • Informing the Head of IT Examination section of examination progress, any adverse features noticed at examined financial institutions requiring urgent action, and seeking their advice on matters when necessary.
  • Completing draft violations and exceptions within given time frames, sending them to examinee financial institutions for management responses after review by the Head of IT Examination Section.
  • Arranging and attending exit meetings with senior management of financial institutions to discuss points of contest.
  • Writing reports and amending in light of discussions held with senior management of examinee financial institutions within prescribed times.
  • Carrying out changes recommended by the Head of IT Examination section or Department Manager.
  • Performing any related tasks assigned by the Head of IT Examination Section or Department Manager.
  • Acting with propriety and honesty, making a conscious attempt to safeguard the integrity of CBO.
  • Ensuring compliance with procedures in all relevant areas.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in the IT Audit field.
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in IT, information/cyber security, or Computer science.
  • A Master's degree in IT/cyber security or professional certifications (CISA, CISSP, CISM, PMP, CEH, Computer forensic) will be advantageous.
