We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team.

Job Description:

  • Prepare detailed estimates for various projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards.
  • Work closely with planners to develop a comprehensive estimate work breakdown structure (WBS) that meets customer and project requirements.
  • Review design scope criteria and quantities for completeness and reasonableness, coordinating with the project team to gather additional estimating bases when necessary.
  • Evaluate and integrate work scope into the cost estimate, including labor rate derivation, installation rates, productivity analysis, and associated engineering and construction costs.
  • Develop economic models for onshore refinery and offshore facilities, including NPV, IRR, and DPP assessments.
  • Identify areas of risk in the compilation of cost estimates and evaluate appropriate levels of contingency, performing Monte Carlo type risk analysis as needed.
  • Assist with cost estimating input into specific studies, integrating activities and identifying total work scope. Evaluate study results, critical path, and recommended conclusions for project team consideration.
  • Analyze site conditions and apply practical experience with constructability expertise to develop feasibility and conceptual estimates where little or no design drawings exist.
  • Ensure all relevant regional/local factors are considered when preparing estimates by organizing and participating in location surveys and data research.
  • Perform scenario comparisons, uncertainty analysis, and sensitivities on cost estimates, reflecting analysis of project risks. Manage reviews and assurance of cost estimates, benchmarking against historical performance, industry norms, and established KPIs.
  • Support the development of estimating standards and procedures, compiling, summarizing, updating, and maintaining estimates and historical cost data.
  • Develop benchmarking packages to check estimate results from top-down versus internal and external comparable data.
  • Participate in cost and schedule risk analyses, providing mitigation proposals to project teams. Offer cost engineering advice, including estimating, planning, cost control, and risk analysis, to project teams and other stakeholders.
  • Align with business managers on business objectives before issuing estimates.
  • Presents cost estimating information to management and customers.
  • Deliver Capital Cost Estimates focused on enhancing accuracy and execution.
