Job Description:
Project Controls Specialist

This role is responsible for the development and implementation of cost control procedures, as well as the preparation and submission of project invoices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project accounting and job costing systems, as well as experience with SAP or other mainstream Cost Controller systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with corporate and client accounting groups to establish project cost control methodologies.
  • Develop procedures for estimating modifications and additions to onshore and offshore facilities.
  • Prepare estimates in accordance with approved procedures, incorporating engineering estimates and developing rationale statements to support the estimate.
  • Validate and verify estimates using high-level norms and comparing with previous estimates, outcome costs, and vendor prices.
  • Develop and implement project accounting and job costing systems to meet project requirements.
  • Interface with project personnel to develop project forecasts and analyze project costs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Minimum 15 years of cost analyst/project accounting experience
  • Experience with SAP or other mainstream Cost Controller systems
