Data Governance and Compliance Officer Role Overview:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the bank adheres to data protection rules, conducting regular audits, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify potential data protection risks
  • Develop and maintain an internal reporting system for data processing activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Provide expert advice on data protection rule interpretation and application
  • Review and update internal policies, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with required rules and standards
  • Deliver training and awareness programs to educate staff on compliance matters, providing guidance on applicable laws, regulations, and standards
  • Conduct regular compliance reviews to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations related to business operations
  • Support the head of department in other tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business/information security or a relevant field

Skills and Expertise:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Objective and fact-based decision making
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic language

Professional Experience:

  • 0-3 years of experience in similar roles

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Fair understanding of banking operations
  • Fair understanding of Central Bank regulations and internal policies and procedures
