Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Mövenpick Hotel & Apartments Ghala Muscat. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the kitchen team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food products to our guests. Key responsibilities include:
  1. Menu Development: Assist in the development of new menu items, ensuring they meet our quality and taste standards.
  2. Inventory Management: Maintain proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize wastage and spoilage.
  3. Food Safety and Hygiene: Comply with and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  4. Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment.


Requirements
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual who possesses excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have:
  1. Culinary Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a leader or supervisor in a culinary role, preferably in a similar position within a hotel or resort.
  2. Knowledge and Skills: Extensive knowledge of all culinary departments, previous experience in various stations throughout the kitchen, and ability to create menus and manage inventory effectively.
  3. Training and Certifications: Current First Aid and Serve Safe training is an asset.
  4. Teamwork and Adaptability: Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to change, and perform with a high level of energy at all times, while maintaining a positive attitude and being a team player.
