Engineering Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Team Lead to oversee departmental operations and ensure the functionality and safety of all mechanical, electrical, and building systems. This role plays a key part in shift leadership and cross-departmental coordination, ensuring seamless service delivery and high maintenance standards throughout our facilities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Build and enhance team morale, encouraging staff commitment to their work and promoting a positive working environment.
  • Vision Embodiment: Understand and embody our organization's vision and brand personality in daily practices, ensuring alignment with our values.
  • Staff Training: Train staff according to established hotel standards, emphasizing the importance of quality service delivery.
  • Performance Management: Recognize and address individual performance issues fairly and promptly, contributing to a productive and efficient team.
  • Scheduling: Schedule staff in accordance with business needs, ensuring adequate coverage during peak periods.
  • Problem-Solving: Participate in departmental and organizational problem-solving meetings, providing constructive input and solutions.
  • Communication: Communicate professionally with guests, suppliers, and colleagues, maintaining a respectful and courteous demeanor.

Technical Expertise
  • Maintenance Oversight: Supervise maintenance and operation of utilities and systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Equipment Inspection: Regularly inspect equipment and systems, identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • Resource Allocation: Plan and schedule work to ensure proper staffing and resource allocation, maximizing productivity and minimizing downtime.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports on progress and trends, providing valuable insights for decision-making.

Environment Sustainability Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety: Follow health, safety, and security policies, prioritizing the well-being of employees and guests.
  • Environmental Stewardship: Support environmentally friendly operations, implementing sustainable practices and reducing waste.
  • Certifications: Hold relevant engineering certifications, demonstrating expertise and commitment to industry standards.

Requirements
  • Experience: 4-5 years of hotel engineering experience, with a proven track record of success.
  • Skillset: Proficient in Microsoft Office and Building Management Systems (BMS), with excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Adaptability: Willing to work shifts and extended hours, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • Linguistic Skills: Communicate effectively in English, with a strong command of written and spoken language.
