Summary

We are seeking an Engineering - Team Leader to support our Engineering Manager in overseeing departmental operations and ensuring the functionality and safety of all mechanical, electrical, and building systems. This role plays a key part in shift leadership and cross-departmental coordination, ensuring seamless service delivery and high maintenance standards throughout the resort.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Build teamwork and enhance the team's commitment to their work and the hotel.
  2. Understand and embody the hotel's vision and brand personality in your daily work practices.
  3. Train team members according to hotel standards.
  4. Recognize outstanding performance and address substandard performance fairly and promptly.
  5. Schedule employees based on business needs.
  6. Participate in departmental and hotel problem-solving meetings.
  7. Communicate professionally with guests, suppliers, and colleagues.
  8. Keep your supervisor informed of relevant matters.
  9. Maintain a professional appearance according to grooming standards.
  10. Be flexible and adaptable to meet business needs.
  11. Support and assist guests, suppliers, and colleagues.
  12. Maintain a tidy and well-kept work environment, including the Green Globe program.
  13. Be punctual and reliable.
  14. Understand emergency procedures.
  15. Comply with the Employee Handbook standards.
  16. Follow instructions from supervisors.
  17. Supervise and participate in maintenance and repair of utilities and systems.
  18. Monitor and supervise contractors.
  19. Supervise metal machining and fabrication work.
  20. Plan and schedule work, ensuring proper staffing and resources.
  21. Assist in developing preventive maintenance programs.
  22. Prepare reports on progress and trends.
  23. Train new team members.
  24. Make personnel recommendations.
  25. Estimate project resources and requisition supplies.
  26. Inspect work for quality and compliance.
  27. Conduct building inspections and coordinate maintenance programs.
  28. Develop and implement small projects.
  29. Ensure high-quality standards.
  30. Report safety hazards immediately.
  31. Complete safety training and participate in emergency procedures.
  32. Perform other engineering duties as assigned.
  33. Support internal/external customer service.
  34. Understand and promote Alila Villa Uluwatu standards.

Technical Expertise

  1. Distribute work orders and ensure proficiency of staff.
  2. Inspect equipment and systems regularly.
  3. Handle abnormalities or breakdowns appropriately.
  4. Monitor utility consumption and assist in efficiency.
  5. Train staff on equipment operation and safety.
  6. Participate in hotel emergency teams and safety training.

Environment Sustainability Responsibilities

  1. Follow health, safety, and security policies.
  2. Support environmentally friendly operations.
  3. Implement Earth Check principles within scope.

Qualifications

  1. Certificate in Engineering (electronic, electrical, or mechanical).
  2. 4-5 years of hotel engineering experience.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and BMS platforms.
  4. Willingness to work shifts and extended hours.
  5. Strong English communication skills.
  6. Service-oriented mindset aligned with Hyatt's standards.
