We are seeking an Engineering - Team Leader to support our Engineering Manager in overseeing departmental operations and ensuring the functionality and safety of all mechanical, electrical, and building systems. This role plays a key part in shift leadership and cross-departmental coordination, ensuring seamless service delivery and high maintenance standards throughout the resort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build teamwork and enhance the team's commitment to their work and the hotel.
  • Understand and embody the hotel's vision and brand personality in daily practices.
  • Train staff according to hotel standards.
  • Recognize and address individual performance issues fairly and promptly.
  • Schedule staff in accordance with business needs.
  • Participate in departmental and hotel problem-solving meetings.
  • Communicate professionally with guests, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Keep your supervisor informed of relevant matters.
  • Maintain a professional appearance per grooming standards.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to meet business needs.
  • Support and encourage guests, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Maintain a tidy and well-kept work environment.
  • Be punctual and reliable.
  • Understand emergency procedures.
  • Comply with the Employee Handbook standards.
  • Carry out instructions from supervisors.
  • Supervise maintenance and operation of utilities and systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Monitor and supervise contractor work on utility projects.
  • Supervise metal machining, fabrication, and welding work.
  • Plan and schedule work to ensure proper staffing and resource allocation.
  • Assist in developing preventive maintenance programs.
  • Prepare reports on progress and trends.
  • Train new team members.
  • Participate in personnel actions such as hiring and performance reviews.
  • Estimate resources for projects and requisition supplies.
  • Inspect completed work for compliance and quality.
  • Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities.
  • Develop and implement small projects and monitor their progress.
  • Ensure high quality standards and continuous improvement.
  • Report safety hazards immediately.
  • Complete safety training and participate in emergency response activities.
  • Perform other engineering duties as assigned.
Technical Expertise
  • Distribute work orders and oversee their completion.
  • Inspect equipment and systems regularly.
  • Handle equipment malfunctions and inform superiors.
  • Monitor utility consumption and optimize efficiency.
  • Train staff on operation and emergency equipment.
  • Share knowledge and foster a motivated team.
  • Practice safe working methods and participate in emergency teams.
Environment Sustainability Responsibilities
  • Follow health, safety, and security policies.
  • Support environmentally friendly operations.
  • Implement Earth Check principles within scope.
  • Hold relevant engineering certifications.
  • Possess 4-5 years of hotel engineering experience.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office and BMS platforms.
  • Willing to work shifts and extended hours.
  • Communicate effectively in English.
  • Maintain a service-oriented mindset aligned with Hyatt standards.
