Project Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced project manager to oversee the successful delivery of projects from inception to completion.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Determine and arrange project management, technical services, and external resources required for the project on an individual and team basis.
  • Collaborate with the team and all stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the project in line with all expectations.
  • Demonstrate a visible commitment to safety, using safety moments and established frameworks.
  • Provide subject matter knowledge to support the team and assist in ensuring the best project outcome.
  • Procure and manage design and wider consultant teams and project stakeholders to ensure effective completion of responsibilities.
  • Actively support collaboration between all parties.
  • Produce design and authorities programmes to be integrated with procurement and delivery programmes.
  • Manage the timely and successful delivery of projects, in accordance with the overall delivery programme and agreed project milestones.
  • Deliver project objectives in line with the project execution plan, lead and manage project teams and relevant stakeholders to achieve strategic project key performance indicators.
  • Prepare and modify project plans as necessary and keep them updated and relevant over the course of the project.
  • Oversee project timeframes and budgets, ensuring successful delivery of projects and highlighting any risks, challenges, and mitigations.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and ensure robust quality systems are in place and suitably managed and monitored.
  • Lead and record relevant meetings, providing contextual information and analysis.
  • Effectively coordinate and communicate with all project stakeholders, ensuring completion of responsibilities and that appropriate standards and records are documented and maintained.
  • Take ownership of project changes, tracking project changes and ensuring they are progressed and formalised within agreed timeframes.
  • Ensure approved handover documentation is coordinated and provided prior to practical completion.
  • Promote and drive business priorities through construction to production, digital & data and responsible business.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive years of experience in property or infrastructure project management.
  • Commercial and financial acumen.
  • Experience of leading parts of projects within large, diverse teams.
  • Experience of developing and forming relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Substantial previous experience in a project management role on large and/or complex projects.
  • Experience in the construction delivery phase of projects.
  • MCIOB/MAPM/MRICS/MICE or local equivalent qualifications.
  • Appropriate construction skills certification scheme (CSCS) card or local equivalent.
