Job Purpose:

The International Education Adviser will provide excellent counselling services to guide international students in finding institutions that meet their learning and career aspirations. This includes providing accurate information and advice on study opportunities, local education systems, cultures and geographic regions, assisting with application documentation, facilitating enrolments and promoting products and services.

• Counsel prospective students to identify suitable study options, including courses and institutions.
• Schedule and conduct phone discussions and office meetings to convey course/program information while meeting each student's needs, advising on admissions requirements, processes and qualification options.
• Assist students in determining an appropriate shortlist of applications to submit, ensuring effective use of counselling time.
• Support the student through admissions, visa and pre-departure processes.
• Maintain strong relationships with students and their families to ensure you are regarded as a highly professional and trusted service provider.
• Maintain integrity and ethics in every interaction with students, families, clients and colleagues.
• Deliver outstanding service to convert students to the next stage of the student pipeline, submitting applications to education institutions and accepting resulting offers.
• Identify opportunities to generate leads and effectively leverage them, e.g., determine prospective schools, universities, companies and scholarship bodies for new leads and establish effective relationships.
• Use a system to support the end-to-end counselling process, capturing and following up on leads and opportunities to close sales.
• Identify new business opportunities in consultation with your manager.
• Maintain regular contact and activities with key accounts (schools, scholarship bodies).
• Act with accountability towards students, clients and colleagues.
• Respond to face-to-face enquiries, phone and email enquiries in a timely manner, providing accurate and relevant information.
• Process and submit applications to institutions, obtain offers and facilitate enrolments in a timely manner.

• Educated to bachelor's degree level or equivalent.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience working in a sales-driven environment with a strong focus on achieving individual and team targets.
• Knowledge of education institutions, admission processes, immigration requirements and international operations.
• Outstanding communication skills, able to communicate effectively with different stakeholders.
• Excellent planning and organisational skills, managing multiple competing priorities.
• Customer-focused, passionate about providing outstanding service.
• Effective relationship building and management skills.
• Ability to identify, analyse and solve problems proactively.
• Sound judgement and ability to make decisions with integrity, in the best interests of the organisation.
• Strong IT skills - Microsoft Office suite, CRM systems.
• Experience working with a CRM system.
• Education counselling experience.
• Work/study experience in a relevant destination country.
