Data Center Operations:

As a Freelance Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networking equipment, and other hardware to ensure optimal performance and maximum uptime.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring data center operations both remotely and on-site, quickly diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues to minimize downtime and maintain service reliability.
  • Configuring, managing, and troubleshooting networking devices, including Cisco and Juniper routers, switches, and firewalls, to ensure secure and efficient network operations that align with organizational standards.
  • Managing and troubleshooting both Linux and Windows-based systems, performing essential updates, patches, and security enhancements to keep systems secure and up-to-date.
  • Documenting all installations, repairs, maintenance tasks, and system performance, providing comprehensive reports to the remote management team to ensure transparency and accountability in operations.
  • Implementing and maintaining security protocols to protect the integrity of the data center infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices for data security.
  • Collaborating with remote IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to enhance data center operations, actively participating in the planning and execution of projects that drive efficiency and innovation.
