Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Specialist to join our team in Oman. The successful candidate will provide technical support for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronic equipment used for security screening and cargo detection at various locations throughout the ports of Oman.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct on-site periodic and scheduled maintenance of electronic equipment, including cargo screening devices and systems.
  2. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and repair electronic systems and subsystems, including x-ray imaging systems, power supplies, computers, computer peripherals, hydraulics, and pneumatics systems.
  3. Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and training to supervisors and operators on the operation, capabilities, and support of assigned electronic equipment.
  4. Documentation: Complete paperwork and documentation, including service reports, radiation surveys, parts requisitions, etc., on-time and error-free.

Qualifications

  1. Analytical/Independent judgment skills and expert knowledge regarding safety protocols and reliable operation and maintenance of screening detection equipment.
  2. Provide innovative security solutions.
  3. Adherence to standards; expert in operation and support of electronic equipment; effective communication with peers, supervisors, operators, and customers; self-learning, updating and sharing security-sensitive information; drive for leadership and a spirit of service and dedication.
  4. Possess a University Degree in Engineering; Mechanical Engineering is preferred, including electronics or relevant technical skills.
  5. Have at least 3 years of work experience in conducting mechanical/technical work and repairs and maintenance of equipment including electronic systems.
  6. Possess English proficiency to include reading, speaking, and writing.
  7. Must have a driving license and maintain a clean driving record for purposes of insurability.
  8. Pass an employment security investigation background check and a drug screening test.
