Job Summary:

This role is for a Structural Inspector to ensure compliance with structural specifications and verify structural elements match approved drawings.

About the Job
  • We are seeking an experienced Structural Inspector to inspect structural works, verify structural elements and ensure compliance with material submittals and structural specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting Structural Works: Inspect structural works including rebar installation, formwork, concrete pouring, and steel erection.
  • Verification of Structural Elements: Verify structural elements match approved IFC and shop drawings.
  • Compliance with Specifications: Ensure compliance with material submittals and structural specifications.
  • Review of Contractor IRs: Review contractor IRs for structural inspections and confirm readiness.
  • Coordination of Testing: Coordinate and witness structural testing such as slump tests, cube tests, NDT, bolt torque checks, etc.
  • Installation of Temporary Structures: Monitor installation of temporary structures (scaffolding, shoring, bracing).
  • Raising NCRs: Raise NCRs for structural deficiencies and track corrective measures.
  • Collaboration with Design and Site Teams: Collaborate with the design and site team to resolve technical issues.
  • Documenting Inspection Findings: Document daily inspection findings and submit reports to the structural team.
  • Final Inspections: Participate in final inspections and assist with as-built verifications.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Experience: 7+ years of structural inspection experience on major infrastructure or steel-heavy projects.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Experience with steel structures, concrete QA/QC, and international structural codes. Strong field supervision and reporting skills.
