Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee property maintenance operations, ensuring a high level of safety, security and asset protection.
  • Develop and implement strategies to deliver products and services meeting guest and employee needs while maximizing financial performance.
  • Manage engineering operations and budgets, working with property and regional leadership to determine performance against budget.
  • Lead and supervise the physical plant, including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment and electrical systems.
  • Administer service contracts and ensure compliance with state, local and federal regulations.
  • Communicate departmental goals and supervise construction to ensure timely completion within budget.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED; 6 years experience in engineering and maintenance or related professional area.
  • OR a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics or related major; 4 years experience in engineering and maintenance or related professional area.
  • Core competencies include Leadership, Adaptability, Communication, Problem Solving and Decision Making, Professional Demeanor, Team Building, Planning and Organizing, Customer Relationships, Global Mindset, Talent Management and Technical Acumen related to Equipment Maintenance and Equipment Selection.

Essential Skills:

  • Technical training in HVAC/R/Electrical/Plumbing.
  • Ability to manage controllable expenses and participate in department capital expenditure planning and budgeting processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
