Financial Operations Manager

Job Overview

The Financial Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily financial operations, including accounts receivable and payable management, statutory compliance, and fund management.

Main Responsibilities

  • Implementing financial accounting policies in line with group policies and IFRS standards
  • Establishing controls to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data
  • Providing monthly financial results with in-depth analysis
  • Managing local compliance requirements, including tax, audit, secretarial, and regulatory aspects
  • Offering commercial support for business cases
  • Ensuring accurate and timely completion of all financial and management reporting
  • Leading the process of preparing annual plans, reforecasts, and monthly financial reporting
  • Driving financial analysis to provide critical insights for strategic decision-making and business performance enhancement
  • Analyzing financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks, collaborating with stakeholders
  • Monitoring and analyzing budget performance on a regular basis, identifying variances, and recommending corrective actions to optimize resource allocation and cost management
  • Closely monitoring financial reporting, group reporting, statutory audit, budgeting, and forecasting, and reporting to the headquarters finance team

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A qualified Chartered Accountant/CPA/ACCA certification or a bachelor's degree in accountancy with relevant experience
  • A self-starter attitude and high motivation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective and confidential communication of financial insights to senior management
  • Good people management skills within a multinational diverse team
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Familiarity with IFRS standards and management reporting
  • Exceptional Excel knowledge is essential

Preferred Skills

Prior work experience in Oman and within the hospitality/FMCG/Retail sector are desirable.
