Pastry Chef

A master of the culinary arts, with a passion for creating exquisite pastries and desserts. We're seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team.

  1. To take charge of all aspects of pastry production, ensuring exceptional quality, presentation, and flavor.
  2. To work closely with the Executive Chef to develop menus that showcase the best of local and seasonal ingredients.
  3. To maintain high standards in recipe accuracy, presentation, and authentic preparation per Executive Chef guidelines.
  4. To monitor ingredient quality and recipe consistency; support POS accuracy and menu setup.
  5. To review guest feedback and audit reports to drive food quality improvements in coordination with Restaurant Managers.
  6. To lead, train, and schedule the team effectively, ensuring alignment with labour budgets and business volume.
  7. To support training efforts with Learning & Development, including hands-on and classroom sessions.
  8. To plan manpower, equipment, and supply needs based on forecasts; maintain cleaning schedules and food safety compliance.
  9. To conduct regular kitchen checks and ensure equipment maintenance, hygiene, and buffet display standards.
  10. To uphold grooming standards and guest service excellence, personally handling special requests and dietary needs.
  11. To foster teamwork, open communication, and a culture of WOW guest moments in collaboration with Restaurant Managers.
  12. To manage team performance, disciplinary actions, and maintain accurate leave and public holiday records.
  13. To keep recipe costings updated and aligned with selling prices; support inventory and market list management.
  14. To analyze P&L, food costs, and menu performance; apply improvements as needed.
  15. To follow accounting procedures; assist Banquets and outside catering when required.
  16. To stay current with global pastry trends and lead festive or promotional event planning.
