Job Overview

The Senior Process Engineer will lead the process discipline design of engineers and designers, reporting to the Head of Process Engineering.

  • This role is responsible for reviewing Basis of Design and concept note documents received from clients.
  • Raising and resolving technical queries based on project scope of work.
  • Supporting AIPSM compliance reports by closing process engineering DEM-1/2, LFI/LL, etc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing cost, time, and resource (CTR) for projects and schedules.
  • Interacting with clients for CTR basis and negotiation and finalization of project SOW & Man-hours.
  • Providing input to management for early procurement activities for financial year planning.
  • Interacting with business development team related to engineering software.

Operational Role

  • Reviewing and carrying out process simulations and optimization studies for projects.
  • Reviewing PFS and Heat & Material balances and equipment sizing calculation.
  • Reviewing Process engineering deliverables drawings like - PEFS & PSFS.
  • Reviewing Process engineering deliverable documents like - Project Design Basis, Hydraulic report, operating control & safeguarding philosophy, Tie-in & Shutdown Philosophy, etc.

Team Management

  • Interacting with other disciplines engineers for interface management.
  • FOLLOWING up of project activity & deliverables on timely basis & resolving the bottle-neck issues.
  • Development of junior level engineers & designers.
  • Development of Omani Engineer & Designers.

Other Expectations

  • Managing timesheet and allocating man-hours to the team.
  • Tender Review, raising technical queries & interactions with the clients for clarifications.
