The Role of Senior Portfolio Manager

  • This position involves overseeing a portfolio that encompasses activation, increasing spend, and expansion across traditional and Islamic financial services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and enhance the range of current products while transitioning processes to digital platforms such as customer onboarding and card activation.
  • Oversee initiatives to activate and augment expenditure on card products.
  • Develop plans to boost card usage and elevate transaction numbers.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to design promotional campaigns that increase card utilization.
  • Analyze customer expenditure trends to identify opportunities for advancement.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and address potential complications.
  • Track key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of migration and activation operations.
  • Synchronize updates with internal teams including IT, legal, and marketing.
  • Foster existing partnerships and develop new beneficial alliances to promote growth within the portfolio.

Requirements and Expectations:

  • A proven background in card product business development in conventional and/or Islamic banking is required.
  • Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills are essential.
  • Able to manage end-to-end card product launch or revamp projects independently.
  • Knowledge of market trends, opportunities, and product launches in the Islamic banking and payments market is necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are crucial.

Language Requirements:

English fluency is required with Arabic being an asset.
