Role summary:

Vodafone is Oman's latest Network Operator. The presence of Vodafone in Oman will contribute to the development of all sectors, including the economic and educational sectors.

Key role objectives:

  • Support network performance by understanding wireless technologies such as GSM, LTE, and 5G.
  • Assist with core network elements (MSCs, HLRs, VLRs, EPC) to help with voice, data, and messaging services.
  • Support fiber optic network design, deployment, and equipment installation.
  • Collaborate with business units and provide support on network tasks.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reporting & Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining operational reports for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and monthly metrics with guidance.
  • 24/7 Support: Support authorities during emergencies, ensuring quick response with supervision.
  • Technical Assistance: Provide basic technical advice to the authority sector, learning from senior colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Information Technology or related subject.
  • At least 3 years relevant experience in similar role.
