Job Overview

Main Responsibilities
  • We are seeking a highly skilled Field Communication Specialist to support our senior engineer with daily network operations and projects.
  • The selected candidate will maintain communication systems infrastructure in the field, including VSAT, switches, routers, wireless LAN, telephone systems, WiFi access points, radios, and Thuraya units.
  • Responsibilities also include administering and supporting network backbone and edge switches, coordinating with ISPs for all contact efforts, handling administrative tasks like purchase orders, inventory control, and equipment disposal.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills to detect and resolve hardware and software issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Additional duties involve ensuring proper logging and tracking of user problems using IT ticketing systems, testing and installing new equipment as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics/Communications Engineering or 4+ years of experience in telecommunications and networking is essential.
  • Candidates must have completed Cisco technical courses, such as CCNA, Redline, or similar.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in the industry is required.
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP, networking technologies, routing and switching protocols, Cisco Call Manager, and Cisco wireless controller is necessary.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, access points, and IP phones is mandatory.
  • The ability to work overtime/overnight as needed is a plus.
