Detailed Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control (QC) Engineer/Inspector to join our organization. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with expertise in quality control processes, welding inspection, and non-destructive testing.

Description:

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing quality control processes for fabrication, welding, and non-destructive testing inspections. They will ensure compliance with international standards, including ISO 9001, AWS, ASME, API, and project specifications.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Quality Control Process Management: Oversee quality control processes for fabrication, welding, and non-destructive testing inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Compliance and Certification: Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, AWS, ASME, API, and other relevant industry standards, as well as project-specific requirements.
  • Welding Inspections: Conduct thorough welding inspections and coordinate non-destructive testing activities to ensure high-quality results.
  • Documentation Review: Review and approve QA/QC documentation, WPS, PQR, and ITPs to guarantee accuracy and completeness.
  • Client Liaison: Communicate effectively with clients, third-party inspectors, and auditors to ensure seamless quality assurance processes.
  • NCR and CAPA: Monitor non-conformance reports (NCRs) and implement corrective actions to prevent future issues.
  • Material Inspection: Conduct regular material inspections to ensure traceability of welding consumables and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • HSE and Quality Initiatives: Support internal HSE and quality improvement initiatives to drive continuous process improvement.

Requirements:

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of experience as a QC Engineer/Inspector in structural steel fabrication, pressure vessels, and tanks.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Expertise in welding processes and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, including UT, RT, PT, MT.
  • Sound knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and QA/QC procedures.
  • Familiarity with CSWIP / CWI, BGAS / NACE, AWS, ASME, API Q1 codes, and other international standards.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in oil & gas fabrication workshops.
  • Certifications in CSWIP, BGAS, are highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects.
