Chef de Partie Role Overview
The ideal candidate will support senior chefs in delivering consistently high-quality food, while handling purchase orders and maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:- Menu Planning and Food Preparation: Assist in planning menus and preparing dishes to meet international culinary standards.
- Quality Control: Ensure that every dish meets the highest quality standards through rigorous inspections and tastings.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to proper sanitation and food safety practices.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations.
- Training and Supervision: Train and supervise junior kitchen staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Dish Preparation and Plating: Oversee the preparation and plating of dishes during service hours, ensuring presentation meets the highest standards.
- Recipe Development: Adjust recipes to meet dietary restrictions or customer preferences, promoting innovative and diverse cuisine.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with other staff members to ensure smooth operations and achieve team goals.
- Professional Development: Strive to improve skills and knowledge through ongoing training sessions and culinary research.
- Presentation Standards: Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and grooming, wearing designated uniforms well pressed at all times.
- Culinary Skills: Possess excellent culinary skills and knowledge of international cuisines, including regional specialties.
- Experience: 3 years' experience as a chef, including at least 2 years in similar positions or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Education: Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Culinary Skills or related field.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
