Project Quantity Surveyor Job Description

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in a Project Quantity Surveyor role. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying, with excellent knowledge of commercial terms and conditions.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to work closely with the Project Manager on all commercial matters related to the project. This will include preparing draft sub-contract documentation, analyzing bid tabs, and assisting the Project Manager in obtaining the best commercial and technical deal available in the market. The successful candidate will also be responsible for producing monthly operating statements, undertaking re-measurement, and preparing and submitting monthly valuations, variations, and final accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise closely with the Project Manager on all commercial matters to jointly obtain maximum commercial benefit from a project.
  • Prepare draft sub-contract documentation (including bid tabs/analysis) and assist the Project Manager in obtaining the best commercial and technical deal available in the market.
  • Produce monthly operating statements by prescribed dates and discuss the commercial implications of that statement with the Project Manager.
  • Undertake re-measurement and prepare, submit, and agree monthly valuations, variations, and final accounts.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field and at least 5-10 years of experience in post-tender quantity survey, progress measurement, billing, and claims for large integrated projects. Excellent knowledge of commercial terms and conditions is essential.
