Job Description

Liaising closely with the Project Manager is crucial to jointly achieve maximum commercial benefits from a project.

  • Prepare draft sub-contract documentation, including bid tabs/analysis, and collaborate with the Project Manager to secure the best commercial and technical deal available in the market.
  • Produce monthly operating statements by prescribed deadlines and discuss their implications with the Project Manager to ensure mutual understanding of the project's commercial position.
  • Conduct re-measurement, prepare, submit, and agree on monthly valuations, variations, and final accounts. Interim accounts should be discussed with the Project Manager for engineering staff input.
  • Develop cash flow projections and claims documentation.
  • Verify that labor, plant, and staff resources are within tender or Contractual Terms (CTC) allowances and review this with the Project Manager. Identify areas of waste or loss and advise the Project Manager accordingly.
  • Monitor project correspondence for commercial issues and initiate relevant communication.
  • Promote proper archiving of site documents at Head Office after project completion.
  • Ensure timely notice of default issuance to subcontractors and suppliers according to their order or subcontract terms.
  • Early identification and review of potential commercial risks with the Project Manager to explore avoidance strategies.
